Our
Best Customer is an Educated Consumer
Many homeowners have been taken advantage of by improper installations
of gutters and downspouts. We hope the information listed
below will give you a better understanding when replacing, repairing or
installing new seamless gutters. If your home already has
existing gutters, take a few moments of your valuable time and see if
they are similar to these photos. Remember, it will be far more
expensive to repair or replace your fascia board then it will be to repair
or replace your gutters. We hope the information listed below will give
you a better understanding when replacing, repairing or installing new
seamless gutters.
This photo shows the gutter was not installed under the drip edge.
Drip
Edge is the 45 degree metal strip that is attached to the end
of your roof and rests on your fascia board.
When
installing gutters, the installer must
cut each end of the metal drip edge and angle the drip
edge upward in order to slide the seamless gutter under it.
Once installed, the drip edge metal is no longer visible.

Again,
this photo shows that the gutter gain, this photo shows that the
gutter was not installed under the drip edge.
An
improper installation allows water to be sucked back (capillary
action) behind the fascia board causing the fascia to rot over
time. Again, take a few moments of your valuable time and
look at your gutters.
If
you notice that your gutters look similar to these photos, we
recommend you have them removed and installed properly.
Replacing or repairing fascia is very costly, far more expensive
than replacing your gutters.

This photo depicts a proper installation.
The
installer carefully moves the "drip edge" away from
the strip of wood known as the"one by" so that the seamless
gutter can be installed directly behind the "drip edge,"
not below as shoddy companies will do telling you that it's not
necesary to install gutter directly behind the drip edge however
I urge you to read the information directly from the ROOFING EXPERTS,
unbiased stating gutters MUST BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY BEHIND THE
DRIP EDGE, NOT BELOW and to correct the problem, you will have
to remove all of your gutter and good luck in getting a shoddy
company to come back.

This
photo depicts the quality of the work we do. The photo above showed
the drip edge carefully moved away from the "one by" so
that the seamless gutter can be installed DIRECTLY BEHIND THE DRIP
EDGE and very close to the roof tile. The photo to the left is how
your gutter should look if properly installed. Notice how you can
no longer see the metal flashing. A proper installation will catch
the heavy rain water coming off your roof.
Notice
the craftmanship with this installation. Each miter is joined together
as if it were a picture frame. |
We
are saddened by how many homes we see installed (past & present) by
shoddy companies installing seamless gutter BELOW the drip edge. The end
result, the homeowner suffers simply because improperly installed gutter
will rot out your fascia over time. Remember, doing the job the right
way without taking short cuts takes much more time and yes, it does cost
more. Shoddy companies only concern is to take your money and run. On
the other hand, WE NEVER ASK FOR A DEPOSIT AND WE GIVE YOU UP TO 2 MONTHS
TO PAY. We
want YOU, the home owner to enjoy the benefit before you pay for it.
